Will Edwards be activated?

I'd like to see us activate him... I wan't to see more 4 WR sets. That way we can spread out the field more and hopefully open some running lanes for double trouble. Also i think Clausen will do better with 4 WR's rather than the 2 WR and 2 TE formations we currently use a lot.

I don't see sitting Gettis or LaFell in favor of Armanti. He is a PROJECT. A reciever drafted in the top ten of the first round is not considered a bust by anyone that knows how long it takes to properly develop a receiver, in the first year. (Two years is the norm from everything I have ever read for preparing a receiver to be a contributor) I'd say 1 year for a first rounder is reasonable. A few rare guys step up in the first year. Gettis is a developmental freak at this point and he really hasn't done much. If Armanti isn't producing after his second year then...meh. After his third year you can start calling him a bust and not sound foolish. This would still be true if he were a second round pick like so many of you like to call him. Strangely I have not heard him called a second rounder by anyone outside this board, not ever. If he develops quickly and puts on some weight in the offseason then he will be likely be way ahead of any receiver available in the second next year. To put this in perspective; can anyone think of a DE in this years draft that is more NFL ready than E. Brown this year so far? Will Armanti be a bust? Maybe, but not this year.

I'm not the biggest King fan but I like Rosario and Barnidge. I wish we would use Gary more effectively. The dude is big and he is fast for a TE. He could create some matchup problems if we use him correctly.

The only reason I care about this is they traded next years 2nd round pick for Amanti!!! and that is going to be a high second round pick. I just dont understand how you give that up for a guy who is not even good enough to dress up on Sunday's. Did Fox/Hurney really miss on this one that bad?? I know he is project but again, for what you gave up for him he should be at least good enough to dress and get on the field some. I hope this pick works out in the long run.

I am thinking that his first opportunity for playing time will be on the road in a less hostile environment than what we will face this weekend.

when the kid cost you a 2nd rounder he needs to get out there ASAP and show us what he's got. I don't know how many 2nd rounders aren't active when their team is in major need at their position...but like someone said. i'd rather just think about us drafting hardy in AE's spot and AE in Hardy's spot...i sleep better at night that way

This in my opinion is the biggest problem with the Panthers. Us. Homefield disadvantage. We has it. I used to say we have the worst fans in the league outside of Philly. I was wrong. We are collectively much, much worse.
