OK, so how bout this

Looking at the offense we have and the production so far, this is what/who I see that has made some sort of impact to the game.

Smitty - always a threat

D-Will - averaging 4.2 yds per carry

Goodson - averaging 4 yds per carry and 12 yds per catch

Rosario and Gettis - each averaging 10 yds per catch

so I see this as a very competitive lineup regardless of QB. Throw in another WR or TE to complete the lineup.

So why are we not running Goodson as a wing back or slot? Why are we foresaking D-Will's rushing threat to bring in Goodson? As I see it, both should be on the field to present a rushing threat at the same time we present a passing threat! I'm no OC, but seems to me that the more threats you put on the field, the defense has to respect them. if you are displaying a balanced run/pass threat - the D has to equally defend both. I see too many times when it so obvious whether we are running or passing.

If Goodson in the slot or on the wing can pose a threat to the secondary, could this possibly loosen the coverage on Smitty? Possibly pull some pressure from stacking the box? If D-Will is a cutback runner and Goodsen can pull some attention - then you really don't need the FB to lead block - so add Goodson to the primary offensive threat. Add J-Stew to the mix and you have 3 interchangeable threats.

As for the D - the big thing there is for them not to be on the fileld so long and so much - that gets fixed by a better offense.

OK, so how bout this? Does it make sense?

well, not sure I could stand being a coach on that level - my BP would boil over because I would not be "golf clapping" on the side line after a blown coverage. I had a hard enough time with people that played for free - I'd have no tolerance for a multi-million $$$$ player being in lala land.
