Outside of the Panthers staff; do any of y'all have a clue who calls the offensive plays on the field? I mean does the OC just design the plays and HC call them during the game for the Panthers. Are there any QBs still calling their own plays in the huddle? Been wondering this for quite a few years now.

Our OC sent them thru Moore yesterday, Makes you wonder doesn't it? Why did Clausen get the plays kind of late? Maybe cause he has the guys job who is giving him the plays!

I watched a video where an NFL person actually talked to Peyton Manning about his play calling. It's a "code" that the line executes on.

I don't know if it's still this way, but under Henning it worked like this:

Fox would tell Henning what he wanted to do given the situation (1st and 10, 3rd and 1, etc), telling Henning he wanted to run or pass---then Henning would call the specific play.

God would call better plays. Just because Davidson says "My God what am I going to do next?" Doesn't mean that little voice in his head is God answering.
