Why did Bill Polian walk?

I wonder if Polian would be so well thought of if he hadn't been lucky enough to draft Peyton Manning?

Just look at what he did in Buffalo. BP has a great track recond of finding the right players. Even from his early days in the CFL. (If I recall his teams won 2 Grey Cups!?)

I kind of don't think that would have happened. When BP hired Tony Dungy, he told him that Offense would be king! The majority of Indy's caps space would go to the Offense. (Offense fills seats, Defense wins games!) Being a small market team, BP knows the importance of filling seats. Dungy said, he could live with that.

I'm not saying all of BP's draft pics have been winners, but he has a knack, along with the scouts, of finding great players in the later rounds. NOW it only the COLTS could keep Bob Sanders and Anthony Gonzales healthy for a full season...........
