We're going to run the ball and beat the Rams on Sunday.

I really hope you are right. I would love to see Steve Smith in man coverage the entire game against the Rams. :D Santa Clause never game me a gift that nice.

We play some zone. We blitz frequently and rely on man coverage to do it ...

I doubt our coaching staff is concerned about Smith causing much damage in these situations, because Moore isn't going to have time to react, nonetheless throw ...

That's what the 49ers thought last weekend and the Rams aren't much better. And this was the result:

Matt Moore: 308 yards, 2TD, 1 Int., 28/41, 7.4 ypa and 96.4. rating.

Could have easily been 3 TD. And that's on a bad day for Steve Smith.

So honestly, I am all for your plan of defense against us. Truly, it would be a gift if what you're saying really happens. Unfortunately I think your coach is smarter than you.

We play to a system, it's what the coaches have been saying all along. Believe in the system and we will win ...

The players are starting to believe. We've played defense with roughly the same game plan all year to pretty good success. Very good success at home ...

You really think they are changing this for your pedestrian offense? I don't care what Moore did last year, or what your offense did last week. One game is not a trend, the previous five were ....

He was great last week and he may back it up again but you know, between Moore, Bradford and Clausen, one of the 3 hasn't posted a 90 rating and it's Bradford. So presently Clausen and Moore are tied with a whopping 1 each.

I'm glad your players' belief in the system isn't going to be covering Smith. Some scrub will be.

Moore didn't play the previous 5. He only played the first 2 and last Sunday. But the previous 5 before that......he went 4 out of 5.

If what you are saying really does take place, than you guy are going to help us turn last Sunday into a new trend.

Come on dude, don't listen to this guy. That's not going to happen. It would be too good to be true.

I can assure you, they'll play man ...

Rams are 6th in the NFL in sacks, 2nd in QB pressures ...

Chris Long, with 31, leads the NFL in QB pressures, and has more pressures than 5 NFL TEAMS ...

Too bad for you Matt Moore doesn't feel pressure. He only feels weaknesses he can exploit.

Ok well then I just have one thing to show you. Not sure how long you have been following your Rams, but if you guys do play man against Smith.....

The Rams aren't going to be concerned about him? No really, Steve LOVES the Rams dome.

Please keep posting about how he's not worth taking notice of. In case he reads this we need him to have reason to be pissed off Sunday.

    • You're correct (on its face). But PFF does indeed use advanced stats to come up with their grades. Not trying to turn this into a debate about PFF (at all because it's been done ad nauseum), but here is how PFF explains it:   GRADES VS. STATS We aren’t grading players based on the yardage they rack up or the stats they collect. Statistics can be indicative of performance but don’t tell the whole story and can often lie badly. Quarterbacks can throw the ball straight to defenders but if the ball is dropped, you won't see it on the stat sheet. Conversely, they can dump the ball off on a sequence of screen passes and end up with a gaudy looking stat line if those skill position players do enough work after the catch. PFF grades the play, not its result, so the quarterback that throws the ball to defenders will be downgraded whether the defender catches the ball to notch the interception on the stat sheet or not. No amount of broken tackles and yards after the catch from a bubble screen will earn a quarterback a better grade, even though his passing stats may be getting padded. The same is true for most positions. Statistics can be misleading. A tackle whose quarterback gets the ball out of his hands quicker than anybody else may not give up many sacks, but he can still be beaten often and earn a poor grade. Receivers that are targeted relentlessly could post big-time numbers but may offer little more than the product of a volume-based aerial attack. https://www.pff.com/grades So PFF uses stats to come up with player grades and rankings.
