this thread and comments should make us all appreciate the fact that fans are not in charge of roster moves........

He was suppose to practice the last week of camp, and we are 7 weeks into the regular season and still no practice. IR him and pick up somebody who can play, instead of leaving a spot for someone who may not ever be ready this season.

We already have people who can play that are as good as anyone we could pick up. Only 45 0f 52 guys get uniforms each week. If better players were out there we would cut someone and pick them up anyway. O linemen do not grow on trees.

I'm not here to champion all the FO moves but.......would you rather have Otah for 1/2 a season or not at all? I'm sure the FO has mulled all this over and didn't expect to start the way we did.

Yeah I do, but he still isn't even practicing yet. I'd put him and Davis both on IR and bring someone up or sign someone who might could help instead of dead spots. Especially with Davis blowing an ACL for the 2nd time in about 7 or 8 months, he won't be right for a year or better.

I don't claim to be an NFL coach, Gm or team doctor but my hats off to you for having experence at all 3.

Ahh the "sign someone who might could help". No thought that the folks playing now are better than what's available as FA. Your proposal is to eliminate any thought that Otah or Davis might contribute this year so we can sign other players to ride pine.
