2011 Mock Draft

My anger has subsided and apathy has set in, and man, do I feel great :D! I've now taken the advice of old gamblers..."Bet against your own team". As you guys sit there and pull your hair out I'm am so looking forward to the rest of this disaster with a smile.

If I were the Panthers FO I'd stop letting our best players go, i.e. SIGN #34. This philosophy looks stupid on the field and embarrasses it's fan base. You take a lot of crap wearing a Panther jersey out there these days :leaving: .This season was sabotaged from day one by it's ownership and it shows.

I know this and I am now at peace. I know that the big cat is trying to catch Julius Peppers in a bottle again next year. Some of you may say whatever about "fans should never want their team to lose" but I'll say in advance, kiss my ars! Being happy is better for my health so let's see who is out there at 1 (Go Panthers!), 2 or 3.

If the Panthers do indeed have a top 5 pick, Ill be thrilled to get Green, Bowers, Quinn, Luck, anyone..just add more talent.

We have young guys everywhere and if you add AJ Green, it will give us a heck of a WR core. You add another OL from your top 5 pick to go along with getting Otah back and the OL looks unbelievable. The DL could use some beef up the middle but adding a Bowers/Quinn on the outside wouldnt be all that stupid. The LB core looks great I think and just depth is what we need. DB's are young but adding a Peterson here would make them even better.

See where Im going with this? I would pick BPA if we get a top 5 pick and if it happens to be #1 - grab Luck. He has a bright bright future. Will be a STAR, and you can always trade Jimmy or Moore.

    • T-Mac is a nickname, Tet is a shortening of Tetairoa. Like you said below... your name is Jonathan, I could see "Jonny" being considered a nickname, but Jon isn't a nickname, it's a shortening of Johnathan, see the difference? And if your mom named you Jonathan for it's biblical significance/meaning, because she was very religious, I think it would be different. T-Mac is Polynesian, so much in their culture has deeper meaning for them, particularly names.  So for his mom to feel this way, I highly doubt it's just because she likes the name Tetairoa and not Tet, it's much more likely than not to be because the name itself has a deeper meaning in their culture.   Particularly as T-Mac himself has often talked about how much his Polynesian heritage means to himself and his family. And no, I'm not saying all this because of how much he's my guy, if he was just "normal american" and his name was Jonathan and he didn't like fans calling him Jon, I'd probably just say tough poo.  It's that he's Polynesian and I know things like names have a much deeper meaning in their culture than they do in ours for the most part. For whatever it's worth, a quick google search.......
