Got mine in the mail the other day, was supposed to be an Xmas present for the kids but got bored today so gave it to them for good report cards. Seems pretty good so far and great response so far. I went and got the sports game and kinect adventures. Glad I sold me Wii 6 months ago for this.

I'm wondering how reliable it will be with shooting games. Does it even have shooting games? These are the questions the huddlers must answer

No idea, I am gonna check out ign and see whats out in a bit after we finish playing and will pick some more games up in the morning. Will let you know.

I have the included kinect adventures and the Ubisoft fitness game. Based on what I've seen from those games, I don't think shooting games will be very reliable. It seems that you have maybe a 4 ft. by 4 ft area as your play space. Anything beyond that and control is iffy, at best. I'd imagine a shooter game would involve ducking behind cover, turning back and forth and checking your six. All of those actions seem to be issues for me so far.

That being said, as long as you're perfectly centered in your play space and facing the camera, control is almost perfect. I'd imagine a very simplistic shooting game a la Duck Hunt would work.

Finally got mine today from Amazon (didn't want to pay the extra shipping). I got the Kinect with Adventures and also Kinetables for my daughter. The technology of the Kinect is pretty amazing. Quite simply it is in a class of it's own. I own a Wii and this makes it look like an old NES system.

I have not played the Playstation Move so I cannot comment on that.

I am happy with it and I think for sure there will be shooter games for it. The sky is the limit with the technology.

Also remember this is a first launch with games that have had limited development. Give it 6 months to a year and there will be some killer games and the unit itself will have a few updates I'm sure.

I decided against the Move because of $50 controllers. Besides, aren't the sixaxis controllers already motion controlled? I can play High Velocity Bowling with a PS3 controller like its a Wii controller. I don't see the need for Move - other than pushing the PS3 Eye.

    • He’s also 21 years old. I don’t know why fiz is so eager to label him a bust
    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
