My version of what a wonderful world

yes this my carolina version of what a wonderful world by louie armstrong

http://www. youtube. com/watch?v=vnRqYMTpXHc real version and yes i was wearing that suit while holding that trumpet while making this.

I see fields of green........ sold out stadiums in charlotte

I see young wide recievers like jarrett not bloom.....

for fans like me and for you

And I think to myself.... what a wonderful world.

I see smitty score another td..... peppers with the sack....and williams off right guard for 6 you cant stop that

And I think to myself .....what a wonderful world.

The colors of the jerseys.....so black ..and blue

the fear of the growl when they score

stomping on tampa for more...

I see players shaking hands.....Double trouble doing there dance

And I think to myself.....what a wonderful world

I see young rookies try...... I watch them grow

Theyll learn much more..... with a new coaching staff.....

then we would all think to our selves..... what a wonderful world

(instrumental break)

The smell of a bye week.... sitting at 12-4

The defenses cant do anything but watch us score...

And I think to myself..... what a wonderful world

Than came the cardinals.... our first game of the playoffs

all hope was lost when Delhomme took the day off...

fitzgearld whooped our ass... watch as Warner beat us with the pass...

And I think to myself.... why am i still watching this game?

Than came tears running down my face... I looked like a disgrace

all hope was gone but even worse my pride...

It will take months to recover.... from such a disgusting sight....

And I think to myself.... what the fug were they doing?

Thank you, Thank you (bow)

    • I’m not mad at Moehrig.  He’s great at what he does.  And to be honest, a lot of my favorite safeties in our history were box-first type guys - Maxie, Minter, Mike Mitchell, Chris Harris…  they’re first and foremost objective was to put people on their backs and coverage was secondary.  There is a place for that.  There is a definite need for that.  Physical guys that set the tone.  So cool, we have that in Moerhig. But what we have lacked for the vast majority of our existence is a true free safety that cleans everything up on the back end.  Sometimes they come in the form of a JOAT, like Peppers.  I think he would be a fantastic compliment to Moehrig’s strengths and weaknesses.  If we don’t go after him, I certainly hope Ransom is given the chance to grow and develop in real-time with real game reps, because what he did in preseason was very encouraging to see.  I hope he can grow into that roaming center fielder with a little bit of an edge to him as an enforcer as well.  He has the tools.  In the meantime, adding Peppers would only help.
    • Option 1 is most likely. Even if he kills it this year, it wouldn't be prudent to rush an extension for one good season. If you have to pay him more because you waited another year, then he earned it. And that's OK. Adjust accordingly.
    • Cam had the advantage of having a very strong supporting cast his first 2 seasons. Things definitely worsened later on. But those first couple of years can kill a QB. Some never truly recover. If they do recover it takes years, and usually with another team. Trying to learn to be an NFL QB with TEs and WRs that are trying to learn too is a recipe for disaster. Imagine if Cam's rookie season was that 2014 offensive squad. Changes everything! I said it when they moved up in 2023. This team wasn't ready for a rookie QB yet. Anyone that thinks Stroud would have been a lot better is delusional. The correct formula is to build a strong team and then you go get your rookie QB. Not the other way around. BY is going into his third season and we're still trying to put a respectable group of WRs and TEs around him. I think they have the right personnel now. Unfortunately they haven't developed into actual NFL players yet.  This season we should expect consistency and aggressiveness from BY. Mostly for his development but also to DEVELOP his young cast.
