Im starting Mike Goodson sunday...

I'm going with safer picks.. Any Panther player is going to be a gamble because you never know what team you will see on Sunday.. Goodson is nice to add to your bench and try out on certain matchups.. Perhaps Cleveland is that matchup.. After 2 back to back 100 yard games, will he be able to follow that up with a 3rd? We are talking consistency, and it's soemthing the Panthers have never been great at...

Worth starting if that matchup is better than say, Fred Jackson -vs- Pittsburgh... but I feel it's still a gamble, perhaps one worth betting on.. really, gonna come down to your gut feeling and your other options..

he paid off yet again.. I picked him up before anyone else could.. and I'm still hesitant to start him, 4 great games in a row in a Panther uni?

damn, I just can't pull the trigger over Fred Jackson, Forte, and Jamaal Charles... I'm trying to talk myself into starting him over Jackson -vs- Minnesota.. but Jackson just tore it up against the Steelers..

And Goodson could flop this week just as easily as pull off 4 weeks of success..

    • It's not common for a RB to recover from two ACL tears in the same knee. It's fairly rare. You are correct that it isn't the career ender that it used to be but there is also the fact that we appear to have largely moved on with the additions of Dowdle and Etienne.  Dobbins is a very good example. He has basically missed 54% of his career regular season games since he came into the league in 2020. It will end up being 57% at the conclusion of this season. It's a big contributing factor to why he is on this third NFL team in 6 years. It's certainly possible that may be 4 by the beginning of next season. I would say there is very little chance that Brooks ever contributes in any meaningful way in Carolina. Possibly with another team but I am extremely skeptical of his future here because of those injuries and because of the roster.
    • Dude he didnt play in pre season.....  he didnt practice at all with the team until the end of October.    I do agree though.
    • Bryce had a hand in the Miami win but not nearly as large of one as Rico and he also had the extra burden of being a big reason we were in the hole in the first place. If we get a winning season he is definitely back for next year though.
