Who mentioned swimming?

All the sailing I've done was from New Bern and South to the Outter Banks, and have never noticed a smell.

Isn't the water brackish down that way? May kill a lot of the smell. The Neuse up here in Raleigh is pretty nasty.

lol yeah, head on down towards Archer's Lodge in JoCo, in the evening, and you'll notice the smell...

All of that is probably filtered out a good bit and the river widens considerably in that area that you've sailed...

Thanks for the feedback. My girlfriend heard about it and wants to go cause she likes to look at lights, but if the Meadows place is better we might check that out instead.
