Lights on The Neuse

That's actually where I live... Clayton...

I went last year, and the same guy does a Halloween thing too... It isn't bad if you're into that kinda thing (which I'm not), but be prepared to freeze your butt off... It is a hay ride, so if you go, bundle up...

It isn't huge by any means really... I'd much rather go to the Meadow lights if that is what you are looking for, and fwiw I just found out that wifey made plans for us to go to those tonight... lol

Yeah Meadow is where to go for lights. They used to have a little train there for kids to ride on. Haven't been in a few years.

You live in Clayton..I'm right up 70 by White Oak.

Nice!

BWW is my spot for games that are on NFLN...

I doubt I will go for the Pittsburgh game this year though, since we suck pretty hard...

I went to that Chic-Fil-A this morning on the way to work, too... haha

Yeah wifey likes to play the trivia games at BWW. Sometimes I go up there for the UFC fights but it gets so damn packed.

You must be like me and have TWC with no NFL network. Fugging bastards.

YES!

TWC is epic fail, but we don't have another good option, really...

Wifey and I went for the NFLN Dolphins/Panthers game last year and got there at like 6:45... I'm glad we did, because by halftime, folks were standing in the entry way waiting to be seated because people like me were there for the game and weren't leaving... haha

Yeah I wouldn't risk going in that water. Years ago my buddy went swimming in it and caught a skin condition and to this day still has blotches and rashes appear on him.

I fell in head first at my "bachelor outing" back in 2005... made the local news and everything, lol...

My main fear was that I had somehow swallowed something, or had something crawl into an orifice, that was going to make me grow an extra limb, or kill me or something...

I was lucky I suppose, but the thought of what was in that water is still kind of revolting...

    • It's not sustainable,  although he deserve credit for the win also, as he made clutch plays as he does with every win we have.
    • As much as I would love to sit here and bash on Young.  I can't.   He is absolutely a part of this team winning.  He is the cool hand leading the offense along with the hammer, Rico.  He's making plays on 3rd and 4th downs, that are absolutely helping thus team win.  Is Bryce playing as well as we'd like? Nope. Although he had only 1 week off from a high ankle sprain.   No question he was 100% in the Greenbay game.  I'm not even sure where the team would find a clear upgrade over Byrce.  He is a leader.  In the 4th quarter, he has ice in his veins.  He is a part of why our team is enjoyable to watch again.  Without him, we wouldn't be winning.    Anyways.  Y'all enjoy yet another thread designed to tear down the man.
    • Great article on all the Lil Canes attending their debutantes ball. Walt with a great breakdown of all the rookies, as always, and I'm a huge fan of his team coverage, he is truly a treasure, but as a fan of mixed metaphors and superfluous language which some might ignorantly refer to as a "run-on sentence" I never really understood what that mean or where to put the comma after a quote in the middle of a sentence, but holy poo Walt, this is a gem, "While there's a long road left in front of them left to determine whether or not they'll have that same success on the blue line again, the beginning stretch of the journey has been thrown a wrench, and the story on defense has been the emergence of up-and-comers forced into becoming lineup regulars." , bravo, take a bow, sir!
