If Luck doesnt declare, why keep the #1 pick?

As others have mentioned, it is unlikely that other franchises attempt to trade up without Luck in the draft. I'd like to wait until after the combine to determine who we should take with that pick, depending on whose stock falls and rises.

If not Luck, than I could see Newton, Gabbert, Green, Fairley, or Peterson being a Panther. All depends on the combine and our FO, which is quite unpredictable at this point.

You don't remember when the Vikings allowed the Jags and the Panthers, if I'm not mistaken, pass them in a draft about 7 or 8 years ago.

I don't but of course i was 14 or 15. probably wasnt paying TOO MUCH attention to the draft. But i hope they do that if Luck isnt there
