We would get the 7th pick, so we could get Cam Newton at a good price instead of at 80 million dollars like he will want if he's the first overall pick and to add Vernon Davis (one of the best pass catching tight ends) is just the cherry on the top. he would take pressure off Smith just by being on the field.

But hell, I'd take the trade anyway. Vernon is a beast, he's young, and he'd make an immediate impact. If the HC/OC do the right schemes, Davis could be a great security blanket for whatever young QB we have.
