Tight End Options

We never seem to give our tight ends much work their first year here so it is unclear what potential Barnidge has for example. If he puts on some muscle over the offseason he should be the answer for us. He was a little light last year at 247 but was quick at 4.63 in the 40. If he puts on 10 lbs of muscle he won't slow down and would have the size to block as well as stretch the field.

King looked great in training camp and then had a mediocre season after that. He caught half the balls that he did in 2007. I guess without Carr dumping them off constantly, it hurt his average.

Rosario is another guy who started off great and disappeared completely. He caught 15 of his 21 catches in the first five games he played this year. After that it was next to nothing.

I would hope that Meeks can help Chryst develop these guys. No need to spend a lot of money bringing someone in when we have three fifth rounders on the squad already. We surely should be able to use the talent we have.
