Jay Gruden may join Panthers

IN the AFL they don't run the ball very much. Might be a good WR or QB coach but not an offensive coordinator.

He's been in the NFL too. The trick to being an AFL offensive mind is the up tempo and fast play they have. It would fit Clausen better and sure as hell beat the run, run, bomb, punt senquence we all so skin-crawlingly got accustom to.

Area ball is about passing, that's what it's MEANT to do. It doesn't mean Jay Gruden doesn't know about the run game.

    • Nijman might be a serviceable LT but we still aren’t sure when Moton could go. I think you have to look very hard at OT in the first two days. I’m also really surprised at them letting Mays test the market unless he wanted a huge payday.  I’m not sold on many edges coming out of the draft unless they are total freaks of nature. I’d rather not take a chance on an edge, I swear they mostly bust. One of the top LBs like CJ Allen would be a thrill to get.
    • Guess he needed more carries to get going.  I don’t watch college ball much. Hardly any. I used to pore over all these players in these mocks around where we were slotted to pick and spend a lot of time on it. Then a trade would happen and we’d be picking somewhere else.   My thought is this guy better hope a team that has a great passing game takes him because defenses will stack and crowd in and make his day hell if his QB can’t take some heat off.  So he doesn’t need to be here.
