I would think the best course of action is just bring in a linebacker coach who has worked in both a 4-3 and 3-4. Perhaps do what he has done with other positions and bring in an assistant linebacker coach who was a player with 3-4 experience.
i think that would work and might be what they do, but it would also help to have someone on the field at ILB with experience.

I can totally see Rivera trying to bring in some of his style guys at LB...

With this being the case & the talking about having a multi-faceted defense, I see one present linebacker as an odd man out. Now, it will depend on a labor deal being completed (possibly after the draft). I think we get rid of either Connor or Anderson for something goood in return. By keeping at least one of them, you can use him more in rotations, substitutions, and we could have a core with Beason & Davis, with Anderson(or)Connor, Cooper, and Norwood (who can potentially break out huge in Rivera's D) moving in and out for each other going crazy.

I'd be satisfied with this or a similar scenario and we additionally somehow get someone in a need area for 1 guy currently on our roster.
