Two Worlds 2

Lumps

I am probably the only one who bought TW2 so I thought I'd give you guys my impressions. I want to get a couple things out of the way first though. I loved two worlds one. Most people hated it becasue they didn't take it for what it was. They did not understand what kind of game they were playing. Which sucks because it had some great features that were overlooked.

Two worlds is not Oblivion or Fallout and that is the biggest misconception. A new Two Worlds or any (massive exploring world) is usually compared too. The Elder Scrolls series are legendary, they have an endless, timeless budget like Blizzard, Obsidian. So why would you expect any other game to compare? If you do, you should stop playing these types of RPGs because you do not understand what you are playing and you won't enjoy it.

TW2 can be thought of as a B rated movie. But if anyone says they didn't enoy a B rated movie, they would be lying. For example "The Princess Bride" was a B rated movie, yet now everyone knows and loves it. That is because it still has the core elements in place. TW2 is very similar to #1, so these comparisons can be thought of as the series themed with TW2.

Ok let's stat buy saying it doesn't have the whole package like Oblivion. The Charaters walk weird and are weirdly shaped. Their voice and voice acting is horrible as hell. The graphis used on te characters is extremeley slack. There are bugs. A lot of bugs. TW is known for this and it is something you will have to get past. They are bearable and not as bad as Fallout Vegas was when it first released, but everyone seems to forget that when they play TW an just say "it's crap" but not realizes TW2 has twice the content of Vegas, there should be more bugs, but there isn't.

Remember this is a B rated movie, the details suck, but the core elements are in place and are very enjoyable. I would compare this game most to Morrowind (of course not as good). Here are the things they got right. Their characters look like poo but the world's graphics are amazing! Very detailed world that takes you away. The Combat is also very fun. And of course there is a massive amount of content.

A huge beautiful world, intriguing quests, choices in situations that matter and respectable game play are what this game has to offer. These to me, are the core elements and are very enjoyable when done right. Some people complain these games' detail (character/some parts of the world like inside buildings) graphics cannot be as good as say mass effect 2 and that is just not possible.

Not without a huge budget but also the 360 itself has it's limits. You can't have the content of two worlds in mass effect 2 graphics on the xbox 360 lol. It just isn't possible unless you don't want to see far off in the distance or have your frame rate drop immensely when fighting multiple enemies. Mass Effect is a very linear game, and I don't know why it is compared to open world RPGS with much much more content. It jsut simple isn't. It is a third/first person shooter/simulation with RPG elements.

Anyways the conclusion is if you have the right mindset and realize what your getting into the game will be fun to play. If you like a lot of content, quests, decisions that matter, a nice world to play in and a fun compbat/inventory/item ability options, getting into clans and earning rank/power I would get this game. If your into details and want content in details rather than gameplay then don't.

This is something to hold you over until dragon age 2 or Skyrium (god I can't wait). I paid $50 for it becasue open world RPGs are my ideal game and I can see past flaws, including when I played vegas. Major difference between one and two would be the world graphics.

TW2 needs some patience (especially at first to get to the good stuff) because it is a harder open world game, which is another turn off for people. Oblivion held your hand a little more than Morrowind and that is why I compared this to morrowind (once again even though morrrowind is ultimately way better) becasue it doesn't hold your hand so much. It will teach you what you need to know but you'll have to have your own agenda most of the time. It lacks relationships with other people and things like buying houses but so did Oblivion. Fable had buying houses but no relationships or world and Dragon age had fun, complex relationships but not very open world content. ME2 had a little relationship and nothing else to me, but my point is all RPGs have their flaws and things they slack on and some need more time and patience to start enjoying that others but it is worth trying if you're into the genre.

TW2 just happens to have the flaws mainstream gamers do NOT want to see and it's value is only found in a gamers who can dig for the content and recognize it in other ways.

Just don't expect a lot. There is only a solid open world game every 3 or 4 years for a reason. I would encourage you to wait until it drops to 39.99 if you can handle a game that doesn't hold your hand. TW2 deos suck in some ways. Hopefully they fix the bugs, but the bugs haven't erased 40 hours of play like fallout...yet.

The great thing about the original Two Worlds was that it had enough interesting gameplay elements to make the bad parts bearable. Then once you really got into it, the bad parts actually made the game better. The terrible old english dialogue was campy and fun. So were the bugs.

They've improved on all the flaws from the original, but they still aren't GOOD, they're just not laughably bad now. Which, to me, makes it an inferior game.

See I disagree here, the language still really sucks and is pretty funny to watch. I don't know how anyone can think they improved, in fact I think it is much worse especially in some scenarios. Play more of the game, you'll see, it is very similar to the original. A good example is found here lmao:

However what you said the the beginning is exactly how this game works. The game play is very interesting and fun. It is easy to get over the bugs, at least to me.

and 90-95% of games now days are easily classified mediocre, at least by me. I hate lack of content. I hate it so much that the more content the more I tend to love a game. This is why I only play open world or GTA type games. They are a lot of money and if there is little content, it's not worth it's money. I am talking single player games that is, MP is another category.

    • it helps that Bryce and Tmac worked out a bit this off-season before the draft and are familiar with each other's game from way back.  Sure Bryce put in a good word for him to the coaching crew ahead of time That california connection goin' work, I hope
    • Sign but make it mostly incentive driven contract
    • My biggest problem is I think the players he likes don't really work in the modern NFL.  You mentioned the wr room being a lot better, is it?  It has the potential to be.   Last year when we traded up to get Legette, they said they traded up to take him specifically because he was a true X receiver.   Now this year they take TMac because they say he is and that XL was out of posisition last year.  Im not sold on Tmac yet just like I wasn't sold on XL last year.  If TMac isn't a lot better than last XL was last season then that's back to back first rounders in one position that would still need a huge amount of work.  Hopefully Tmac is what everyone seems to think he will be, I'm just not so sure, but them declaring XL was a true X receiver after the draft last year and what they're saying now should at least give you pause about their receivers evaluation because it means they definitely made a mistake one way or another.
