Mayock and Mora Jr. Say Panthers Need QB With #1 Pick

At least 50% of that highlight real is meaningless at the next level, he just took advantage of MUCH smaller defences on his running and scrambling.

You could count the number of impressive throws on one hand, with the majority of them being to wide open receivers or passes 90% of NFL QBs could make. Hardly any timing throws, hardly any looking off the safeties, hardly any looking beyond his primary receiver.

Not saying he CAN'T do the things pro QBs need to do, just saying there is absolutely no evidence that he can.

Look at the 4th and 3 play at about the 2 minute mark...he throws that same out pass that he struggled with at the combine, except it's to the left, and he puts it right on the money in tight coverage. He also completed a lot of crossing routes, but people keep ignoring that for some reason.

Also, how do you figure that SEC defenses are small? Where do you think a lot of these NFL players are coming from in the first place?

Is that the one where he didn't take a drop?

Hint: Trick question because he never does

Also that pass was behind the receiver and he had to slow down allowing the defender to make up ground. He needed to throw it more to the sideline

Lovers ignore these minor facts. Along with the minor fact that it was a completely different route than what he was struggling with yesterday and you have a whole post of FAIL.

people need to stop comparing Newton to Bradford because they came from the spread

Bradford was one of the most accurate quarterbacks I've ever seen coming out of college. there is no way that Cam will be able to transition to the pro's like Bradford did. potential? tons. he won't be like Bradford though.

edit - I'm also sure there is a highlight reel for Jamarcus Russell too. Those are about as misleading as it can get.

So what? The ball got there on time and on target. He will get much better with his footwork between now and the draft anyway, and he will continue to get better once he gets on a team. Stop acting as if footwork is so hard to learn. It's much much easier for an athletic guy to learn footwork, than it is for a The Golden Calf of Bristol to completely rework his throwing motion.

No one is talking about The Golden Calf of Bristol? Who cares about him. He's not being talked about as the #1 pick in this draft. Great, he has a chance to be better than a second round project who got reached for.

Sure Bradford was accurate, he almost never had to throw the ball farther than 10yds in college or the pros. Those are very high percentage passes.
