Mafia game, anyone?

I've played in a few of these on a couple of other message boards, and have even ran my own a couple of times. They were a lot of fun and usually result in absolute hilarity. This forum seems dysfunctional enough to result in just as much chaos :D

In a nutshell: The game is divided into two sides: mafia and civilians. There is a night and a day cycle. The mafia know who else is mafia and can communicate with each other via PMs. Every night cycle, the mafia gets to kill somebody. During the day cycle, everybody must vote to lynch somebody. The object of the game is for the civilians to successfully kill off the mafia members, while the mafia has to try and outnumber the civilians (at this point, the mafia will always win the majority for lynch votes, therefore winning the game). It's all about lying, cheating, manipulating, and Cam Newtoning (j/k >.>) your way to survival and victory.

There will be special roles added to add some other elements to the game.

These usually have a theme to make them more fun. I was thinking of making it a Panthers themed game, but am open to other ideas. Football-themed? Huddle-themed? Whatever seems to be the most interesting I'll probably do.

Sooo... now for the real question: Is anybody interested? If you are, post up and we'll start after the first 25 people have signed up

    • Option 1 is most likely. Even if he kills it this year, it wouldn't be prudent to rush an extension for one good season. If you have to pay him more because you waited another year, then he earned it. And that's OK. Adjust accordingly.
    • Cam had the advantage of having a very strong supporting cast his first 2 seasons. Things definitely worsened later on. But those first couple of years can kill a QB. Some never truly recover. If they do recover it takes years, and usually with another team. Trying to learn to be an NFL QB with TEs and WRs that are trying to learn too is a recipe for disaster. Imagine if Cam's rookie season was that 2014 offensive squad. Changes everything! I said it when they moved up in 2023. This team wasn't ready for a rookie QB yet. Anyone that thinks Stroud would have been a lot better is delusional. The correct formula is to build a strong team and then you go get your rookie QB. Not the other way around. BY is going into his third season and we're still trying to put a respectable group of WRs and TEs around him. I think they have the right personnel now. Unfortunately they haven't developed into actual NFL players yet.  This season we should expect consistency and aggressiveness from BY. Mostly for his development but also to DEVELOP his young cast.
    • It is goofy how some people hate Bryce so much that they're flat out lying to try and remain entitled to their pessimism. It's insanity. Most fans are realists and eagerly awaiting the season to see if we get pre- or post-benching Bryce to start the season and how much he is able to do with some young and developing weapons. Many of us understand that these young guys are going to have growing pains on the job as well as the new defense, but the fans with all of the excuses for why Bryce can't be successful are pounding the no excuses drum. Personally, I'd prefer the Keep Pounding drum.
