during the auditions each coach picked a certain amount of ppl ( I forgot the number) & narrowed them down to 4 each.

8 originally, the battle round knocked it to 4 - the first round of live shows knocked it down to where we are now. If it were the NCAA's we'd be at the Regional Finals now.
