Madden 2012 Player Roles

I just think being able to edit attributes can take away from player progression. Why work to get a 7th round pick better when you can just change him in two minutes? I see what you're saying tho.

totally agree... when I was a madden noob many moons ago I used to edit the attributes.. now I can't stand the thought of cheating in that fashion.

It's only cheating if you grossly overrate...

Think of it like this if you have a player on ncaa and he has a speed of 99 and you bring him to madden through the draft and he gets a 79 .. wouldnt you want to up date his attributes too cause that's kind of a gang rape in my opinion and ive seen things like that happen with my draft classes before

Maybe with the edit attributes option on franchise its gonna be through practice mode ? Like for superstar instead of just straight up changing everything to make it not as one sided like if you want it you need to work for it .. they do that on basketball and baseball games all the time.

No it's physically being able to go in and change the attributes at any point of the season like you can in NBA 2K...it's a great feature to have for the people who want to make rookies play more realistically. Those people who think it's cheating just don't use it....simple as that....

I just hope they give you the ability to build a new stadium without having to relocate the team. As far as create a team, they really just need a teambuilder site for Madden. I have lost hours of productivity on that site....

And even if I relocated the team it won't let me keep the same logos or anything.

EA just posted their official franchise blog today...mostly just the same info as the other sites just explains it in more detail. A few new nuggets in there though. Good read for sports gaming fans like myself...

Out of the new stuff in the blog Dynamic Gameplans, Trading Future Picks and the Salary System details stand out to me...

This stands out to me.

"Each week, every player’s ratings will be different from the week before and will vary based on specific traits tied to our all-new Dynamic Player Performance feature."

"If a player is inconsistent, you could see pretty significant rating swings from week-to-week."

"One week you might get the 90 overall Michael Vick and the next week you might get the 70 overall Michael Vick. Or you could just get the 80 overall Michael Vick."

"If a player is very consistent, their ratings will only change slightly each week and you’ll typically always know what you’re getting (example: Peyton Manning or Tom Brady)."

from the blog

" Future Draft Picks

I can’t mention community requested features without talking about Future Draft Picks, which we’ve also added this year.

It’s pretty simple…when making a trade, you can trade away the current year draft picks or next year’s picks.

This allows you to mortgage the future for a player you want to trade up to get in this year’s draft.

Or pretend you are the Patriots and trade down throughout the NFL Draft for next year’s picks. "

I almost Came
