Hair of the Dog

Hair of the Dog: Why this Works.

A night of over drinking adds large amounts of alcohol to your blood system. The hangover the next morning is the feeling you get when the alcohol begins the withdraw from your body and blood levels. The purge and withdraw of the alcohol is what causes you to feel, for the lack of a better word, like shit.

The act of engaging in "the Hair of the Dog" process, does if fact, make you feel better. This is because you are again, adding alcohol back into your system and blood level. This eases the purge and withdraw process of the alcohol and, as a result, eases the hangover.

I've always viewed hair of the dog as more of a celebration of the night before than any kind of medicinal purpose.. of course, it helps as well..

"medical marijuana" should be prescribed for hangovers.. best cure out there..

now I'm trying to decide if I should hit a new honey hole to fish or watch a few movies... it is a nice day out.

big ass glass full of ice, a couple ounces of vodka and then split the rest between gatorade and red bull

a friend came into town last night with that concoction.. that "haterade" (as he called it) was damn good.

Cemetery Junction..

1..what are you doing?

2..come and have a beer

1..I'm not drinking in the middle of the day, I'm taking a leaf out of Freddie's book. I want to make something out of my life and if I play my cards right I can be Station Manager one day. Charlie can't have very long. he almost swallowed his whistle yesterday.

2..how did that happen

1..he was getting aggitated when the train was late and the driver was talking and he blew really hard and his teeth sort of came out and he tried to put them back in real quickly, he sort of sucked them back in really quickly hoping no one would notice. and then his whistle went down his throat and he started coughing and then his teeth flew out and went on the floor and no one wanted to help him, noone wanted to pick them up.. so he had to bend over and pick them up then his back went. it's awful.

1..anyway, that could be me one day! so think on that while you're out drinking and shagging birds and wasting your life.. now go piss off, I got stuff to do..

edit: I...fuging....love...this....movie...

    • if  ANYONE actually goes & looks at the FACTS on rookie Qb's after 2 full seasons as a starter in the NFL & they are still well below average do they rarely ever actually become top tier Qb's & instead most likely either do not recieve a second contract & or become life long backups...just saying
    • So he became GM and decided not to address the weakness in the QB room following one of the worst rookie QB performances in NFL history?  There were options last season other than signing Dalton to a 2 year deal. Brissett and Jones by a wide margin, both of whom outplayed Bryce, Wilson, Winston, hell even Rivers off the couch was more exciting at the QB position. The time to address the failure in the QB room was last year but instead people on the Huddle cheered when we brought Dalton back then cheered when we were able to get anything for him after they finally realized he was washed up like a few of had been saying all along and got poo'd for even mentioning.  This year, the options were more limited obviously, especially since we lost Icky. It changed the dynamic of our draft. I think we were stuck this year keeping Bryce, but i still think giving him a 5th year option for what has amounted to replacement worthy performance was the wrong move. Why guarantee 25m if you're planning to replace him? You think he's going to want to be a bridge QB? Hell no. He's going to want out and we'll end up cutting him if he has another lackluster season because no one is trading for him with that price tag.  Were there better options as far as production available. A couple. Were there guys available with more physical tools than Bryce, Pickett or Grier, you damn well better believe there were. I've been saying all along, you always keep looking for your 1b. Bryce has yet to prove he can be a starter. Keep looking for someone who may. Put competition in camp. Let the best QB lead the team. Stop settling for less than mediocre.
