Bobcats Acquire #7 pick for #19, Players Likely Involved

The problem is that Leonard is better than Singleton.

I mean that's all a matter of opinion. I personally do like Leonard better but if we do draft Singleton I won't be upset. The dude is a lock down defender and while Kawhi is a very good defender he isn't on Singletons level. They are both different players and I think it boils down to what our coaches value more.

Hahaha, Singler is good, don't get me wrong and I am a Carolina homer. However, coming back this year really hurt him. If he would have came out last year I would have jumbed on him from anywhere between 12 to 20 but after this year he is in the mid to low 30 range.

I think losing his point guard halfway thru the season had a lot to do with Singlers game.

In other news, Biyombo has tons of nicknames and I know the infatuation with nicknames on this site, so which one do you guys like the best.

"Young Master" (Teammates on his team in the Congo League called him this)

"Master" (Friends and Brothers called him this)

"La Pantera or The Black Panther" (Teammates in Spain called him this)

"Big Mac" (Players called him this at the Hoop Summit)

"Big Smack" (Players called him this at the Hoop Summit)

"The Business" (Canadian players called him this)

Which one do you guys like haha?

This is my dream scenario. Bismack at 7th, Leonard with 9th, and Marshon Brooks with 16-20 (We trade Boris for a 1st rounder).

Co-signed, because we need another wing after whichever one we get at the 9... Otherwise, we may all be overdosed on Matt Carroll.

Also, at 39 I want Jenkins or JaJuan Johnson.

Ok Biyombo makes more sense because someone already mentioned this but Thompson and TNT are nearly the same player.

Yeah that was me. You were adamant that it was going to be Thompson and now you don't. Trading for number 7 doesn't mean we'll be selecting Thompson.

I think it will make more sense if we draft Biyombo, Leonard, Kemba (2 out of the 3).

I was just reading reports haha, if I could give you pie I would but for some reason it's not working for me, so I'll just give you rep. haha

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
