Rookie pay scale

I can only find vague references and outright confusion on the internets about the formula for coming up with the new rookie salaries...mainly because it doesn't fully exist until the NFLPA votes on it. Since that hasn't stopped the FO from using this new wage scale as an excuse to drop big money on re-signing players, can anyone shed some light on what kind of numbers the team is using in regards to rookie pay?

I've seen that we will be spending somewhere in the range of $8 million on draft contracts this year. Don't know how that number was arrived at though.

Well he can't get any more than 22 mil over 4 seasons. So it comes down to whether they will give him the max or negotiate that number down.

Not talking about total contracts. Just talking year one pay scale. Can't find even an idea of how that is to be figured out, and it seems to be a frustrating point of confusion for GM's across the league.

      31st rushing D and 8 carries by Rico is coaching.  Rico is easily the best offensive weapon right now and it’s not really close.  *literally everyone knows Dalton is washed, horrible and shouldn’t even be a backup QB.   Drive 1? ZERO carries.  Coaching.  Drive 2 - Rico was playing great.   Did Canales lean into that or go for “balance”? Coaching. Drive 3 - ZERO carries.  Coaching  Drive 4 - 1 carry and opted for Jimmy Horn gadget rush (you can’t stick  with the Horn repetitive gadget runs each week and that’s not a better idea than getting Rico going)  Drive 5 - basically Dalton heavy as the half expired.  I don’t need to watch a game to know it’s coaching.  The gameplan wasn’t about setting Rico up to go off on a trash rush D.  It was bullshit harmony balance of the rush and the pass and making Hubbard feel good.

      In the locker room after the Dallas game, multiple  players said FEED him when Canales mentioned Rico stats. That already made me think even the locker room wouldn't care if Rico got the touches rn. This is on Canales indeed and I agree n the Qb take.  We aren't winning  bc of Bryce  but he has been managing it. Had the Jets had Qb aptitude,  we could've probably  lost that game too. All they would've needed is 14 points. Regardless, we got a team  that's being built up and that position needs an overhaul.

      I think he was trying to mimic the Lions with Montgomery and Gibbs. They are just more of the exception to the rule and Brooks was too much of a gamble to be a Gibbs type player. The Lions also didn’t sign Montgomery and draft Gibbs until their offense was nearly set. It was more of a luxury take the offense to the next level type of deal.
