Remember when we Were worried about resigning our core team

Pretty Silly talk now. Looks like all of the core of the team are back with huge contracts. Smitty isn't going anywhere.

Our stale and overly conservative coaching staff is gone.

The year the Panthers get the first round pick is the year Big Cat and the NFL make it so teams don't have to pay out the ass for rookies who have never played a down in the NFL.

Say all you want about Carolina but at least acknowledge this. Something about the franchise makes good players want to come back.

Johnson and Williams said the whole time that their first choice has been Carolina, and Beason obviously feels the same way. That is something to be proud of.

I think we might have a staff in Carolina who actually knows how to develop a qb, now we need to findout if we drafted one.

Now If Jeff Otah can just stay healthy and we can develop some godamn wide receivers/quarterback this should be a franchise on the rise.

I have a feeling, just for now, that the front office is over compensating in departments we don't have a big need, and leaving other out to dry. Tight end position, way too much money wound up there. Our Db's are gonna be stretched thin this year.

We still have money, we still have time, and there are still good players out there. However, when an opportunity presents itself; like it did today (trading for Greg Olsen), you have to take advantage of that no matter the depth. Olsen is a player for the current team and the future team, as Shockey may only have two years left in the tank (max). I still think the Panthers realize they need to make a move regarding their secondary, but are waiting until they sign draft picks and wrap up their own guys for years to come; then the money that is left will be thrown at a Carlos Rogers, Antonio Cromartie type of guy...at least that's what I'm thinking.

Fixed...

I hope that this is the way it pans out. Either way, this has been the best few days in a long time. The season can't get here soon enough.

We still have enough to lock up Ryan kalil and find a CB. Remeber we have to reach the salary cap floor at 123 million. We should be almost there. I rather lock up guys like beason then to give that money to others who might not turn out. But when i think about it. We could of sign Aso.Lol
