All Panther fans that say we overpaid...

An overpaid player sometimes starts to realize that they are being paid more than they should. This sometimes will cause them to step up their game and shine. At least for a couple of years until their head gets too big and explodes. Can't really see Dwill doing that but Johnson...Maybe.

Only idiot coaches keep 2 kickers on the same roster.

I wonder if Denver will add a "kickoff specialist". What a fuggin joke? I like these little Fox references. We'll be seeing these for years to come.

Wait until we win a Superbowl. Fox is really going to get flamed in the Huddle.

As I saw it unfold, I was thinking, I wonder how many players will want to come to Carolina now after they find out how much the FO's undervalue them? How many players are gonna be pissed that their FO's dont have any confidence in them like the Panthers do in their players. Anderson and Rogers were all ears when the call came in werent they?

JR gets to sit back and watch all the idiots back peddle on the whole "cheap" thing now. Laughter is good for your health, Big Cat, bravo.

You pay D'lo because he is everything you want in a player. . total package as a person, teammate, and soul. Bradshaw isnt a third of that. Any other player like that on this roster. . Beason maybe, thats it, guess what, locked his ace up too.

Please, the overpaid thing is kind of fuggin preposterous man, all markets are based on optimisms and pessimisms. CJ is worth what the market would pay for him. WE would have paid him 72 million, so he's worth 72 million.

The market is worth slightly more than the 2nd highest bidder would have paid for him.

Please just shut up already I'm reading these threads and you sound like morons. We HAD to pay that much, what is our defense without Charles Johnson who's tempted by his hometown 12-4 franchise? You HAD to give him a huge deal...Beason deserves that money if not more, and frankly I'm not satisfied with just Stewart and Goodson... and btw Thomas Davis was getting 10+ tackles a game before he was hurt. You would be the same people complaining about JR not spending anything If Johnson, and Williams walked, and your the same people that bitch when its hot out, hate the fall, and complain when it's cold...Name me another last place franchise that kept their most talented free agent's and have them motivated?

Agreed, brah. Well said.

The fact is that Hurney has only once had a good Panther player leave in FA because he got overbid. That was the bitch Julius Peppers. Hurney overpays his guys. Always has, always will.

I dont think it was all about themoney with Peppers either - he just wanted to gtfo of Carolina

    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
    • Don’t recall seeing many of his interviews but what strikes me is that he engages and goes in depth. Even with the cliche answers as referenced by OP come across somewhat thoughtful.  Very likable personality despite being someone who can crush an average person like I can crush a paper cup. I knew Motons mother had a career at MSU but was looking on the google and found that Mushin Muhammad personally knew Motons grandfather.   His late grandfather was a professor at MSU.   Cool guy.  Interesting family and small world.
    • I think people aren’t patient enough with Young. It can take a few years for a QB to develop. Look at Darnold, Baker and most recently Daniel Jones.   he hasn’t been able to put up big passing numbers either cause of how much we run the ball. You can tell our coaching staff still hasn’t took the training wheels off Bryce and let him go all out. We’ve had some pretty bad receivers as well. We finally got a true number one last year and look how much Bryce improved. Still we didn’t really have any depth behind TMac. Coker was hurt for a lot of the year and XL was our #2. How many big plays or TDs has XL dropped? I think this year can be the year we see Bryce able to hit his stride. If not then we can start looking for another qb but I just ask people to be patient.
