most overrated panther

absurdly far from anything resembling the truth.

he got paid based on past production. the year before he was signed he had what was essentially one of the ten best years EVER for a wide receiver.

were we smart for giving essentially the same contract to keyshawn johnson?

after 2005 he was

boy i wish i was average enough to get 1400 yards and 16 TDs

but I guess he was just a product of that incredible 2005 panthers offense, the one that featured keary colbert and nick goings, huh?

Wow, sorry I gave my opinion without consulting you first.

Um, I think Moose was overrated when he signed with the Bears. What he did in 2004, 2005 was his first year in Chicago, was a great season but like the OP said its not that a player is a good player but rather his achievments where overrated. Chicago thought he was such a great reciever that he would be able to come in and transform their passing game. He didn't. During his entire time in Chicago he never lived up to the hype he had when they signed him.

And for the record Keyshawn Johnson was given a 3 year contract in the 2006 offseason while Moose recieved a 6 year deal in the 2005 offseason. I'll take your word that the per year money was the same but I would guess that the gaurentees were no where as close.

phil dees if you're going to link to another message board full of people as stupid as you to support your ludicrous opinions don't bother.

Didn't look like a message board to me.

"Of course that's an opinion from a guy who's board advertises "Carolina Huddle is the world’s largest independent and most extreme NFL Carolina Panthers fan community."

What he did in 2004, 2005 was his first year in Chicago,

yeah you're right, mistake on my part.

was a great season but like the OP said its not that a player is a good player but rather his achievments where overrated.

Chicago thought he was such a great reciever that he would be able to come in and transform their passing game. He didn't.

that might have something to do with the fact his quarterbacks during that time were a combination of kyle orton, rex grossman, and brian griese in a football environment that doesn't favor passing. During his entire time in Chicago he never lived up to the hype he had when they signed him.

And for the record Keyshawn Johnson was given a 3 year contract in the 2006 offseason while Moose recieved a 6 year deal in the 2005 offseason. I'll take your word that the per year money was the same but I would guess that the gaurentees were no where as close.

keyshawn's was 3 years at 16 million.

moose's was like 16 mil in the first three years with 12 mil guaranteed with an additional like 9 billion in performance based incentives.

regardless, the fact he didn't live up to ridiculous expectations in chicago with an awful supporting cast doesn't make him the most overrated player in franchise history. he leads the team in all time receptions, has had three thousand yard seasons, has been to the pro bowl twice, and is one of the best blocking WRs in the game.

it was quite clearly just people stating their opinions. if you had done more than copy/paste the first google result from "dan + morgan + overrated" you would have noticed that site you linked us to was also full of people saying ray lewis was overrated, westbrook was overrated, champ bailey was overrated.

"Of course that's an opinion from a guy who's board advertises "Carolina Huddle is the world’s largest independent and most extreme NFL Carolina Panthers fan community."

yes this is my board whatever you say about it will hurt me directly

actually the facts are that rather recently the huddle had to be restarted due to getting hacked so all the information, old threads, posts, and dead accounts were lost.

but honestly explain to me what comparing this board to tbr has to do with how embarrassingly wrong you are.

I was explaining to you that you don't seem to know exactly what a message board is.

you linked to an archived nokia sugar bowl message board. is that so difficult for you to understand?

didn't you think the lack of authors, citations, or anything of the sort was kinda a giveaway?

and i'm pretty sure i know what a messageboard is, though i don't have any idea what you're going on about.

And I'm sorry that your little pussy hurts. What a wimp !!!

yes. my pussy. it hurts. oh my god you're so funny and fresh and in my face.

And by the way, the posts/members numbers have always been like that. It's NEVER been close.

i mean i don't doubt you believe this, but what do you think it proves exactly
