Lost in all the excitement about Cam has been something else that's been getting me excited and I just didn't realize it until I stopped to reflect on the last couple of games.

That thing is the way the team is playing, they are playing inspired ball pursuit football on both sides of the ball. Whether it's Gross planting Woodson's ass into the grass on a long lead block, or Gamble literally putting his body on the line to jack up Kuhn to prevent a TD. It is something to behold.

We've seen TD pursue Rogers all the way across the field to tackle his ass from behind, Beason rupture his achilles tendon on pursuit on a play that he couldn't realistically make.

CJ bullrushing everyone in his path back into the QB and Hardy throwing his body at the direction of the QB with wreckless abandon.

Stewart hurdling players for extra yards and Newton leading with his head to get the first down.

This is something we haven't seen in at least a year and it's something we need to appreciate. For the first time in a long time this team believes in something. Whether it's Newton or the coaches, or more than likely, a combination of both, they are playing to win, playing the game they love and making me love watching the Panthers all over again.
