If there's a thread on this, I missed it. Sort of surprised that there isn't one, though. If you don't know the story, you should read up on it. Today could be the last day of his life. If that's the case, what a complete travesty for the US judicial system. I don't think anyone was ever intended to be executed amid such enormous doubt. Among those calling for his clemency are: Desmond TuTu, the Pope, Fmr. President Jimmy Carter, Bob Barr, William Sessions and the Fmr. Deputy Attorney General under the Bush, Jr. Administration.

With every execution, there are always the same people railing against it because there's a faction of our country that doesn't believe in it.

Facts are that people kill other people in this country and they are found guilty with facts and evidence so they pay the price for it.

His case was heard before the Supreme Court and they did not intervene with what the lower courts had ruled.

The issue of capital punishment itself is not being debated here. It's the application of the death sentence to this particular case.

And his case was not "heard before the Supreme Court. If you're going to have an opinion, at least try to base it on "facts and evidence."

    • Backup QB has been an issue of mine for a long time but not just for Bryce and Dalton. We have never really been able to develop QBs or build an offense around strengths. Dalton isn't going to move the needle one way or another. The problem is in our FO and possibly coaching staff (current staff undetermined as of yet). I'm of the belief that you always try to get better. Dalton wasn't good other than one game against an abysmal defense. Churn the roster, including backup QB. If BY isn't the guy we've got to start over anyway. Who knows. We might actually find someone good. Other teams have done it before.
    • Lol. Worst case? I think you mean most likely result. I don't think people are going to be wasting much breath on Dalton or QB2 if Bryce flounders this year. It's going to be people calling for coaches, GM's and owners heads for the mess we got ourselves in with Bryce in the first place. Rightfully so.
    • I mean that's his sole reason for being here. He doesn't win football games. He's here to keep Bryce comfortable.
