That game was AWESOME. I am sore this morning just from watching it. Real slobber knocker! Big Boy football at its best. I would love to see stanford or OK st or boise match up against LSU bc LSU or Bama for that matter would get arrested for aggravated assualt on those other teams. Would not even be close with those defenses.:dupe:

I didn't see much sloppy play. Those missed FGs were tough FGs. They weren't gimmes. What Saban should have done was punt/take delay of game to punt. LSUs defense was stingy in the short field. It was just great defense. Saban was just too arrogant not to punt.

I didn't see too many dropped passes or more than the ordinary.

The overtime 'drive' by Alabama was extremely sloppy.

Perhaps you can put the missed field goals on poor decision making by the coach, but that's the kind of thing that would often be called sloppy if it was another coach calling the shots too.

anyway doesn't matter... it was a good defensive effort by both teams, but I still feel that Alabama gave the game away.

You know why it was extremely sloppy was because of LSU's defense in the short field. They were playing for 7 with those passes. But I wouldn't categorize this game as sloppy at all.

you don't consider dropping a ball with no defense around you, then a false start, then missing an open receiver to be sloppy?

I'm not convinced Bama is better than Boise. Look at Bama's schedule, Boise would have their exact same record if they were playing it.

It'd be close but I think they'd have 2 losses, one to Arky as well. But that's not really how you compare teams. Take a look at Boise schedule, many teams would have the same record as they do but doesn't necessarily mean they are equal.

What did you expect from this game?

After all the massive hype? I expected a supernova of excitement with fireworks and naked ladies at the end.

BTW, for people who want to see well played football games, just watch Boise St. against anybody. I'm sure they would love a shot at Alabama or LSU, but neither of those schools want to play them, especially on the road.

The penalty, sure was sloppy.

The side arm throw to Trent was a tough catch especially with defender arms flailing around. The wheel route to Trent was a tough throw and wasnt that far off. And its McCarron, so what do you expect out of that throw.

All I am saying is that this game was not a sloppy game in my eyes as a whole. And it can't be compared to two unranked teams that might have the same score.

I agree that Boise is well coached and they squeeze every ounce of potential from what they got but there is no way they can play with LSU/Bama they physically cannot match either one of those defenses. Just my opinion and I do not intend to get into a 22 page argument at this point. Like I said earlier I hope LSU plays Boise so we can once and for all end the Boise should be considered in the national picture argument. The day Boise plays a SEC type schedule they can get a seat at the big boy table. Until then they eat with BYU-TCU-Utah table. Getting a look every couple of years. Good luck to them and lets hope they finish an undefeated second and do not choke to a Nevada or UNLV or South East whatever that they play every other week.

Boise has beaten every ranked team they have played in the last 2-3 years. There is a very good reason why Alabama schedules these practice games against weak ass FCS teams the first two weeks of the season instead of playing Boise. They're scared. Plain and simple.

Well at least Bama only plays 2 FCS teams unlike Boise who plays what 8 or 9 every year?:hand:
