Actually, it's 6th in offensive efficiency, which is pretty much the definitive metric of a offensive team's performance.

The biggest advantage of DVOA is the ability to break teams and players down to find strengths and weaknesses in a variety of situations. In the aggregate, DVOA may not be quite as accurate as some of the other, similar "power ratings" formulas based on comparing drives rather than individual plays, but, unlike those other ratings, DVOA can be separated not only by player but also by down, or by week, or by distance needed for first down.

They rank us 3rd in rushing and 6th in passing.

Once again this has nothing to do with what I am talking about and there is no correlation between this stat and a winning record. My method is one of those BETTER ones they mention.

These guys rank each player's offensive efficiency on a team. That means we have the best offensive players if they all only played at the same efficiency level every single week. Which they don't obviously since we are ranked 21st in the league in scoring efficiency.

But you can us DVOA to break down specific situations and find out how certain players do in the 4th quarter for example, or the red-zone. Good luck.
