One thing Cam needs to do when he runs

I love what Cam did to the 'skins, I love what he did to Clay Matthews, but yesterday he mismanaged his jukes. On the Redskins play and the Matthews play, Cam juked guys who was in his immediate area. Yesterday, he was trying to juke guys that were five yards off. He could have moved laterally while still moving ahead, instead he does these massive jukes pretty much against air, and falls flat on his face.

I wish I had some tape on this, and I would show you guys exactly what I'm talking about, but I don't. Normally he would only do this maybe once or twice again. Yesterday he looked like a fish out of water with those moves. I do expect him to run with more balance as time goes forward. Those falls he had yesterday had nothing to do with avoiding big hits. He just fell flat.

First off I gave you pie by mistake, so enjoy.

The above quote is not true, Cam is purposely getting down, like I'm sure he's been instructed too, instead of taking an unnecessary big hit.

The only time Cam has lost his footing and slipped/tripped this season was against the Redskins, right after the below picture.

    • That makes me wonder, how many starting tackles in the NFL and/or elite tackles have short arms? I feel like there’s probably lots of tackles that end up being drafted in later rounds because they had short arms or didn’t have the physical tools.     also why not draft a tackle in the later rounds that we could move to guard or center if they fail, instead of drafting a center? If we draft a center we know they aren’t going to play tackle but if you draft a tackle they could end up playing any of the 3 positions, look at BC for example. It feels like it’s a better decision to draft a tackle in later rounds than a center.
    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
