Not disagreeing, but how many coaches have been to the AFC Championship game and let go right after?

Until recently, the AFC has been a much tougher conference at the top than the NFC. The Chargers were always having to go against 4 really good teams to get there. Ravens, Pats, Indy, and the Steelers.

Definately some tough competition . The win in Indy to reach the AFC Champ game was the Bolts finest hour in recent history. Bolts always seem to fare better against finess teams, Peyton doesn't like seeing the Chargers on the other side of the line.

Manning not faring well against traditional 3-4 teams, and the Chargers having Merriman and Phillips off the edge with Jammer and Cro ball hawking is his worst nightmare.

The Chargers just need some new leadership.
