Monster top 10 Mock #1

That is one terrible Mock Draft. Why would the Browns pass us RG3? They would have to be high. The Panthers reaching for Burfict would be awful, especially for a guy that might fall out of the first round entirely.

Also, I doubt we pick at 8.

1. Colts - Andrew Luck

2. Rams - Matt Kalil

3. Vikings - Morris Claiborne (they should probably take RG3, but they reached on Ponder last year)

4. Browns - Robert Griffin III - Colt Mccoy is not the answer, and this quarterback would be an instant upgrade to the Brown's miserable offense.

5. Jaguars - Justin Blackmon

6. Buccaneers - Dre Kirkpatrick - The BPA is Coples, but they just drafted Bowers and Claiborne last year. I could potentially see the Bucs trading out of this pick and someone nabbing Coples.

7. Redskins - Landry - Landry is garbage but the Redskins need a QB in the worst way and will definitely reach for one.

8. Dolphins - Quinton Coples - Coples doesn't slide any farther, but I could see the Dolphins also taking Rieff.

9. Panthers -

If Coples is still on the board, you have to take that guy. I know we have Hardy and bigger holes in other areas, but Coples is an elite talent at DE. You don't pass up this kind of player just to fill a need with some other guy that might not pan out. Hardy is good but I would be much more comfortable with him in rotation. If both Coples and Kirkpatrick are gone and it isn't possible to trade down then I think you take Rieff, which I believe would be a good pick. He's definitely the second best tackle in the draft and would be a solid, consistent guy for years. I think it's possible that Kirkpatrick falls to nine or ten, but that doesn't seem likely nor do I think he's even that special. I think Coples is the pick if he falls, but if not we will get Rieff.

All of this is complete hearsay though, considering that it's December and a lot will happen to the draft boards.

If the BPA on the board is a lineman, you take him no question.

An NFL team can NEVER have enough quality linemen. OL, DT, DE... doesn't matter. Building depth on both sides of the line rather than "reaching" for a need is the fastest way to join the NFL elite... especially after you've already added your franchise QB to the roster.

I'll take Burfict in the 2nd round if he is still there. He is way too good to pass up on. I don't care what you know-it-alls say. He is a difference maker and offenses are scared of him. He is very intense and makes other people around him play at a different level. I think with the leaders on our defense and with Ron Rivera as the head coach, they could teach him to not do stupid crap.
