GW calls out Bob Johnson

Your "this is how we do things and if you dont like it PAYING FAN fug off" attitude is the reason why the Panthers aint won poo. Its the reason why they cant sustain success. Too stubborn, too arrogant, and too scared to take the calculated risks the big boys do. And that comes from being babied locally in the media and having a front office that cares more about being "safe" than WINNING fugING FOOTBALL GAMES. Jake is your saviour. I understand Britneck. You feel he will be here forever and is all we need to get by. I'm happy for you, just dont go crazy when you're dissapointed AGAIN. And if any QB fits the description of mediocre it would be Jake Delhomme. Brett Favre Lite without the ring. And I say that as someone who has probably watched every single second he has played the past 7 years. There are other QBs (black & white) that can and will help this football team in the future. If the Panthers FO is not smart enough to understand that, thats on them. If the Panthers dont even seriously look at a segment of the talent pool at QB for marketing purposes thats on them. If the thought of a black QB leading our football team and winning games would bruise some of our fans egos so much they dont wanna see it happen, thats on them.

As for our beloved Bobcats. The future is bright. I trust the front office would never reward a player who's performance on the court doesnt reflect the need. I trust the Bobcats players are gonna do the right thing and not do anything stupid to shame this city off the court. I trust that the highest paid players on the Bobcats WANT to be here and believe in the FO's desire to win. I trust that no matter how much hate people throw Bob Johnson's way, its not gonna stop the growth of this franchise.

The fact that you are defending Bob Johnson and Michael Jordan as successful owners is worse than comical.

The Bobcats have been God Awful ever since they arrived. They have made bad pick after bad pick in the draft. Both are absent owners.

As for Jordan's managerial abilities....go ask the Washington Wizards their opinion. They booted his ass out of town after he proved over several years to be a joke. He was a great players....but a god awful decision maker.

But then again KT, we all really know why you sing their praises....and his has nothing to do with their ability or success.

    • I interpreted your original reply as the team could have success if the new players and coaches were really good, AND they created an offense that didn't count on the QB being a primary contributor. Because you think Bryce won't be able to hold up his end. I think you confirm that above. My only point is that I don't see how anyone can say definitively what Bryce Young will be in the league yet, based on his supporting cast from last season. And it seems those that have already decided that Bryce Young is a bust, likely just didn't like him as the pick in the first place. A little context for me... lots of folk here didn't like Cam while he was a Panther either. It had very little to do with him as a talent. And just for the record, I really am not invested in Bryce Young. I didn't want the team to move up for a QB at all in 2023. I thought 2024 would be the year to go for a QB. But when they did, I ordered the QBs as Anthony Richardson, then CJ, then Bryce. The disfunction from the front office, to the playcalling, to the scheme, to the oline and the receivers was just not a good situation. Horrible actually. Asking a rookie to perform with all that adversity is just not realistic to me, at any position let alone QB. So to me, the verdict is still out. I don't know if he can be the guy because the situation he was in last year was set up to fail from the start. In preseason, as soon as I saw the oline couldn't figure out how to even slow down the Jets' pass rush (particularly stunts) and the receivers were locked up like Fort Knox, I knew we were in for a long season.
    • I bet one would. But I hear you and hope he can control himself.
    • It's a different vibe for sure. He sounds like he knows what he's talking about and his general plan---that which he tells the world---sounds like a working plan. Reich didn't seem to have a plan, and Rhule's plan was ill-suited for grown men. Reich coached like a zombie---just dead and uninspiring. Rhule thought that he could take his college guys and dominate in the pros, smiled in guys faces and threw them under the bus. His brand of motivation has plays running to a DBO sign. Canales seems to be schooled in motivation, but also believes the stuff he is selling down to his core. We'll see if it holds up.
