I understand the Bears fans' group psyche to get extremely excited over something too quickly (Rex Grossman anyone?), and this seems to be yet another case of that happening.

OK, my homer side has us at 13-3. My pessimist side says 8-8. My realistic side says 11-5

Basing this, of course, off an assumption of opponent's level of play being on a lateral level to the play of last season

So difficult to base this coming season on last year's results.

With that in mind, I see 6-10 if things break bad, 10-6 if things go real well.

Exactly. And the reason why I put that bit in there... it's impossible to really pick winners right now, because you just don't know. The hardest week of the NFL season to bet is week 1

I've always enjoyed watching him play and would like to see him put together another good season or 2 before he hangs em up or dwindles away... whichever happens first. You're not on the Sanchez bandwagon? Groom him as the next QB?

You obviously don't know the history of Bears 1st round picks vs later round picks

How is that top 10 LT working out for you?
