Trading up...

If anything I could see Hurney trading back into the first in the 25+ range and giving up our 2nd plus a 2nd next year. Maybe with NE because they have two picks in that range and we've dealt with them in the past. According to draft value charts I think that their mid-twenties pick would be close to 800 value, so we could do our 2nd plus a 2nd next year, and maybe get a 5th from them in return. If there is a Jenkins-type value left at that time, I could see Hurney doing that move in a heartbeat.

But I personally feel like there will be too many studs still available at #9 (Brockers, Coples, etc.) to warrant moving with our first pick.

It would be horrible for the development of this team to trade UP in the draft. A trade BACK however makes WAY too much sense right now.

If we get the right sucker we could easily end up with Something like Cox and Jennoris Jenkins (just talking about typle of player) with our first 2 picks.

Tannhill, Trent Richardson, and their ilk need to slip to 9 for us to make those kinda moves. Bengals/Jets are my trade up targets. Teams that think they are close and have a defined need that will be there.

Im really praying for a trade back tbh. I am a big Brockers fan, but the ability to add 2 90 grade guys in sacrifice of a 100 grade guy is too good to pass up.

    • LaMelo to Brooklyn for Nic Claxton, Drake Powell, and a pick.  Who says no?
    • Appreciate you, brother!  I know it was lengthy, but I felt whoever actually read it would appreciate it.
    • Damn good take, brother.  I think I take that poo personally because (sidebar: I don’t like to use narcissist often because social media has made it a buzzword and diluted the meaning, so when I use it, I don’t take it lightly) I grew up in a home with a raging narcissist, then married a narcissist and just came out of a divorce after a 20 year marriage with her, where afterwards she met and married another narcissist.🤣  And in my dealings with them, over my 41 years on this earth, at times I took great delight in breaking down their arguments point by point and forcing them to either acknowledge their wrongs and take ownership of them or watch them yammer and stammer away when they ran out of lies and excuses.  At various points, that was extremely satisfying, but ultimately, which I’ve realized especially after the last 3 years and going through the divorce and everything, it does NOTHING to them.  It doesn’t affect them one way or another.  For a logical, reasonable, grounded person, you would think calling them in their poo will bring it to their attention when they’re face when nothing but facts and truth and force them to change, but nope.  Not in the slightest.  They just disassociate from the ones who do that and find more people who will validate their behaviors and thinking.  poo pisses me off because they’re so destructive and couldn’t care less so long as their needs are met.
