Steve Smith Invigorates His Charity Work Per Wcnc's Sonja Gantt

Just another reason why Steve Smith is "the best receiver in the NFL": He and his family are helping with a Charlotte-based charity, Samaritan's Feet, to help needy children and adults. Perhaps those of us with a little change can do more than just post (or lurk) on the Huddle, but offer a little help---if nothing else, but with some greenbacks---in honor of our elite wide receiver.

“I’m not there to be the mascot or to be the token, but to be a worker—to be down there and to serve and lead.”

I believe this was posted a little while ago, just sayin

Not again. People are always saying that they believe something was posted, though when you search for it, it is nowhere to be found. Like I said before: If you are going to post something from an outside source, the outside source/author needs to be referenced in the original post. That being said, this story came out today.

You can also have a blast, eat great food and fellowship with other Huddlers all while supporting another great charity by simply attending and supporting the Huddle's gameday tailgate, where all proceeds go to the local Toys For Tots campaign.

Didn't know that. If I can get to a game this year (which I don't know because my money is looking kinda funny), I'll pm you about the specifics. I haven't seen Charlotte in probably 5 years unfortunately.

You know, if a Paypal account were set up for an annual Toys For Tots campaign in Charlotte, the Huddle might just be able to raise more change for that effort. Even if it's a little something, something is better than nothing. Perhaps a permanent link to charity work would help.

    • I don't think it's a homer though when I really feel this team can beat anyone.  The points that can be scored in bunches when the big three are on has high potential.  Moose has effort for days and IMO is the heart of the team.  And didn't see Miles becoming the team "vet" in the starting lineup just roleplaying lol.   We have to limit the turnovers though (Brandon Miller I'm looking at you bud, you are a bad ball handler) and some little things.   Colby off the bench is a cheat code and him and Kaulk have a nice little game going with the picks.    Sion playing every game and just getting better each game.  He has grit.  Grant and Green also grit.  We need replace Tillman with PJ Hall though.  Tillman looks like someone that shouldn't be on an NBA court, or at least with this team, he's just too slow for this tempo.   Even McNeely looked decent tonight and can drive.   If Kaulk and Moose could even be like 30% 3pt shooters man....
    • 1.) LaMelo 2.) Kon 3.} Miller 4.. Giannis 5.) Moose   1.) Coby 2.) ? 3.) Sion 4.) Miles Bridges 5.) Kalk That squad would win multiple chips.
