Panthers Hope Hogan Can Step Up (Pfw)

Its also true that bears poo in the woods but that still does not lead any closer to a point. Blown coverage is clear on the field and so is getting beat. Still no matter how you say the same thing over it still does not make them one in the same.

I don't know what he'll bring to the table this year, but I do know that basing expectations on last years' play would be a little unfair. Whether you choose to acknowledge it or not, there were extenuating circumstances with Butler, and they clearly had a huge impact on his season. After all, this is a team sport, and players play as part of a unit. Their play is also hugely dependent on their preparation, focus, and understanding of what they are supposed to do. So to not accept the impact of not participating in TC, missing time to be with his daughter, and the distraction of that health scare would have on Butler's season is a bit naive.

No I don't have a source and I didn't say anything that could've been as a matter of fact, I gave my opinion. You stated that we must have not like him or he didn't want to come here, as if you know this...so I asked where did you get that from. Now that we have that cleared up. If that was your opinion, then cool.

Its all opinion unless you quote it.

Keep making excuse if you want but the film does not lie. One could also say that this is AEs break out year cause he has had enough time to learn his position and make an impact. Does not mean thats true though.

I sure hope you like that rigid hole you live in where everything is black and white. Call it excuses all you want, but to ignore the impact of a player missing TC and having a serious family medical issue that took him away from the team is ignorant (and I mean ignorant as in lacking football acumen). Nobody's annointing Butler as anything, but you sure seem to have a problem with him and are unwilling to even consider that other factors may have played a part in his play last year.

Calling someone ignorant and ridged all the while grasping at something that may or may not be. That's what you call being a hypocrite. I deal with what I can prove not hearsay.

    • This guy pre-draft was saying he could take or leave football, and he seems to have been playing with that mentality ever since lol.
    • Agreed, another safety would be nice. Bud Clark, TCU, is one I would like to see us take a flyer on later in the draft, if he stays healthy and we don't take someone earlier. I just really hope we draft a solid C this year. Tired of seeing us cycle through average to below average players in that area.
    • Bryce doesn't like throwing into the middle of the field unless the play broke down or it's set up to give him a passing lane.  So because of this issue, most of the passing offense has to be outside the numbers towards the boundary. So you see him throw a lot of dump offs, swing routes, short side out routes, comebacks or deep balls outside the numbers using the boundary as protection of an interception.    Pretty easy for a NFL defense to see this and scheme against it.  All you have to do is run a shell cover 2 deep dime, LB plays a hook underneath, take the flat away with a blitz/flat zone option for the two inside DB's, outside two DB's play hook zone underneath and carry anything deep.    Pretty much what NO ran to take away Rico while also limiting What Bryce can do as well.
