Why?? He's still young can play 2 of the positions we need. Then he is a highlight dunker which is not bad for fans at the game.

You remember how people got excited when Ricky Davis was playing with the Hornets and in the game?

Yah but I think he would want a pretty good price.

I wouldn't mind if it's a right price though.

We wouldn't need him if we decides to draft MKG.

And I think we rather try to sign someone who could play than just a highlight reels guy, not saying he can't play but get what I'm saying

Dude is barely making a Million we can get him for 2-3 mill a season. Even if we draft MKG he can be a back-up for him and Henderson.

He has that athleticism and motor that Harrison Barnes doesn't have, so I wonder why it never worked out for him? <SARSASM>

In all seriousness, I wanted Gerald Green back in 2005 (can't believe it's been 7 years!!!). I still wouldn't have a problem with acquiring him now. He has more raw talent than most everyone else currently on the team. I think he was never put in the best situation to cultivate that talent. If the Bobcats hire a coach who's willing to talk to him and try to get him to live up to his potential (I think Brian Shaw would), I'll be all for this move. If they hire someone like Nate McMillan or Jerry Sloan who come across as, either you already have it or you don't, then I wouldn't bother, because he clearly seems like the type who needs to be "believed in" and prodded, instead of just shouted at and expected to do what you're expected to do.

In the right situation, he has more potential than MKG, who can't shoot into a swimming pool. I think Green's problem is he's never been motivated enough, and hasn't added any muscle since getting to the NBA. Is there a "right situation" for him, especially with the Bobcats? I'm not sure.

I'd rather have Eric Gordon if we can't get Hibbert

Or sign Nick Young, O.J. Mayo, J.R. Smith, or Courtney Lee before signing Green.

I really like Nick Young though.

Out of your list I only like Mayo or J.R. smith even thoe Smith seem to have problems with his teamates and is a ball hog.

I don't like Nick Young or Lee they have been given chances and have never given constant effort or production.

    • if  ANYONE actually goes & looks at the FACTS on rookie Qb's after 2 full seasons as a starter in the NFL & they are still well below average do they rarely ever actually become top tier Qb's & instead most likely either do not recieve a second contract & or become life long backups...just saying
    • So he became GM and decided not to address the weakness in the QB room following one of the worst rookie QB performances in NFL history?  There were options last season other than signing Dalton to a 2 year deal. Brissett and Jones by a wide margin, both of whom outplayed Bryce, Wilson, Winston, hell even Rivers off the couch was more exciting at the QB position. The time to address the failure in the QB room was last year but instead people on the Huddle cheered when we brought Dalton back then cheered when we were able to get anything for him after they finally realized he was washed up like a few of had been saying all along and got poo'd for even mentioning.  This year, the options were more limited obviously, especially since we lost Icky. It changed the dynamic of our draft. I think we were stuck this year keeping Bryce, but i still think giving him a 5th year option for what has amounted to replacement worthy performance was the wrong move. Why guarantee 25m if you're planning to replace him? You think he's going to want to be a bridge QB? Hell no. He's going to want out and we'll end up cutting him if he has another lackluster season because no one is trading for him with that price tag.  Were there better options as far as production available. A couple. Were there guys available with more physical tools than Bryce, Pickett or Grier, you damn well better believe there were. I've been saying all along, you always keep looking for your 1b. Bryce has yet to prove he can be a starter. Keep looking for someone who may. Put competition in camp. Let the best QB lead the team. Stop settling for less than mediocre.
