On this date marked the beginning of one of the most important battles in the history of the modern world. A southern victory at Gettysburg would have quite possibly ended the war and America would have never grown into a world power. Strange how history hangs on such an event. I believe the battle of Gettysburg to be one of the most significant moments in human history.

It is a very important battle, even though some southerners still regret the souths loss here if you think about the impact this battle had on WW1 and WW2 it is truly astounding.
