What are bucs fans saying?

Yeah right, like I am going to go all the way from Tampa, up to the Carolina's, to clean a roof, LOL

No, posting as who I really am is how I roll, on every forum I post on. I don't hide under assumed names.

Still not buying it.

And by the way, not all Carolina fans are actually in Carolina. I can see why a Buc fan wouldn't understand or expect support from outside, given their parochial perspective, and maybe they are right. It's probably better for them to try to grow their fanbase locally, at least to the point they can sell out their stadium.

But hey, there's brighter days ahead. Maybe in London or L.A., but brighter days nonetheless.

You may be right! http://www.joebucsfan.com/?p=72887

There are some hard core Bucs fans here, but not like places I have lived, like Detroit and Seattle.

I think it is because this is Florida, few are actually from here, and many are still supporting the teams from where they came here from.

Actually, this game might have been a sell out, if it were against the Steelers or Packers

I will jump off a roof if I ever have to count on other teams fans in order to sell out a home game...

p.s. No pun intended in above statement. ;)

You are preaching to the choir, as far as a lack of Fan support goes here in Tampa. In the Dungy years, Tampa was a competitive team. Under Gruden, we won a Super Bowl, and had some decent years. But, some here in Tampa are still pissed the Glazers (our owners) fired Tony Dungy, and others are pissed we fired Gruden, and went cheap with Raheem Morris. Others are stiull pissed at the Glazers for holding Tampa hostage, until we gave in, and not only built a stadium, but gave them a sweetheart deal on it, to boot!

I could go on and on about the reasons we do not sell out, but Tampa has been hard hit by this Depression, more so then anywhere else in America, even Detroit!

But, if we start winning again, some feel the fans will come back.

    • I presented that scenario because this is a home game and we seemed to have improved in some capacity in that area as of recently. The problem with the possibility of sweeping the Bucs is this team has had a habit of quickly falling victim to momentum shifts. The Bucs are coming off a bitter loss the same as the Panthers but the Bucs have a much better proven track record this time of year and they have performed when the pressure is on unlike our Panthers. We have a shot against the Seahawks here in BOA but that is a matchup that could quickly get out of hand because they are a well coached team and that goes back to the momentum shifts I mentioned. I just don't see this team beating the Bucs in their stadium to close the season. Tall order to say the least.
    • I’d give it another year for Sanders and Evans, I don’t much care what you do with Tremble’s spot. Let him have another year or maybe replace him. Haven’t looked at his contract so that may be the determining factor.
    • Following the crazy up down pattern we finish 9-8 with an improbable sweep of TB, and lay an egg in the home playoff game.  I don’t know if I can sign on to sweeping TB but I suppose it’s possible, they aren’t really that good this year.    ps I can buy beating TB Sunday and losing to Seattle.  Then it just gets to can you fluke one game. Any given Sunday. So we’ll see.
