First Quarter Report Card

Recommended Posts

Offense - F

Limited to one touchdown in two of four games. Had the ball twice in the final four minutes against Atlanta, failed to run the clock out. Several interceptions, lack of production in the running game. Playcalling is questionable.

Defense - F

Can't tackle properly. Often is gashed for huge yards at vital points of the game. Despite some pressure up front in games against ATL and NO, still, secondary always looks suspect.

Special Teams - F

Already two fumbles for turnovers on punt returns and had a punt blocked. In the bottom half of the league for kickoff return average and punt return average. No TD from either.

Coaching - F

Team seems outwitted and mentally unprepared most games. Went for it on 4th and inches vs NO and was stopped. Wasted several plays on read options. Questionable depth chart with Nakamura starting. Lack of plays and opportunities for backs, especially Tolbert.

Fans - A+

No suicides yet. Still bothering to rant online and buy tickets.

    • Hurney 2.0 and Fitts were so bad I don't know if it was intentional or they were that abysmally clueless. Fittershits panicked repeatedly being on the back end of positional runs while Hurney couldn't evaluate anyone outside of the 1st.  I can't figure out why Plummer still has a jersey. There's no reason. Dalton brings nothing to the table. If another QB gets cut that has given a glimmer of anything better than what we have, we should look, and that goes for every position.  I cant get over how much different this team could have been with a competent GM and having accepted the Rams offer for Burns. This franchise could have gone in a totally different direction.
    • I thought tanking wasn't actually a thing and we were firmly against it though?
    • I think they are watching to see who’s going to be available before they make theirs official. Probably working trades too. I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t cut anyone today.
