Back from the KC game

Sad to hear about the coaching, or lack of...

what was the crowd like? I've heard they are pretty friendly to opposing team's fans.

Got back to Denver last night from the game, and I have to say that we played a hard fought game and the thing I was most impressed with was Kuechly. Just watching him with the other guys on defense, the kid is a born leader and isn't afraid to be vocal. I think we have a found a true force to anchor the linebacking corps for years to come. And as far as the Chiefs fans, I must say they were good-hearted and very welcoming. I think there was 3-4 times my Wife and I were taking pictures with my Daughter and someone would come up and offer to take pictures of the three of us. Very impressed by the hospitality! All in all it was a great trip and worth every cent! I even had a woman give me 2 extra on-field passes for pre-game warm-ups so my Daughter and I could go down and meet some of the players!! Had a great time, and look forward to many more games like this (except maybe we can get the "W" next time)....

If i was drunk i would have said something really disrespectful to those fans in light of the situation. Glad i wasn't there.

I had a fan tell me that Smitty was a washed-up bum, and it took a lot to not turn around and say "At least he didn't double tap his girlfriend, then off himself because he is a coward". But I must say being the 'bigger man' feels good, and after I had a second to think about it thoughts of Rae Carruth started to pop in my head (not that any of those Chiefs fans would've probably remembered that) but just in case, I'm glad I didn't say anything. Outside of that fan though I would have to say the rest of the crowd was very hospitable.

Good to hear. You should have congratulated them on doubling their win total on the season.

I had fun, got drunk and grilled before we went in. Parked in Gold lot E by all the cheerleaders, who wouldn't flash us. Then got stoned with three Cheif fans. Then a cheerleader showed us her bra after the game. We lost but I had fun. My buddy is a Cheifs fan so we treated the game like the Superbowl. Made a dude from Willmington take some shots. Great game, Cam is awesome.

    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
    • Certainly not going to miss his constant whiffs on sacks and tackles.
