I can't understand how you read the rule and still complain that Hardy's hit was illegal?

The hit was clearly made with part of his helmet and was obviously considered by the ref and by the review panel to be overly violent (as opposed to hitting him with shoulder and arms).

Suck it up it wasn't a clean hit by today's rules. And considering it took out their QB, and arguably went a long way to sealing the game for us, had to be penalised more than just a flag.

But it was a fuging HUGE hit that will make opponents think when across the line from the Kraken in the future.

My problem with all this is that I want to know where the fines or penalties are for the Raiders defense who publicly stated that they targeted our QB and who were repeatedly and obviously hitting him after plays were blown dead?

And also for the game officials who allowed it to occur under their noses!

tackle illegally or legally? It doesn't take that long.

If you didn't get there in time to make the sack, then you didn't get there in time.

Never heard of qb hurries? The ball was errant because of the pressure, if he had slowed down enough to gently cradle him to the ground the pass might have been complete.

(f) If a player uses any part of his helmet or facemast to butt, spear or ram an opponent violently or unnecessarily. Greg didn't.

(1) Forcibly hitting the defenseless player's head, neck, or face with the helmet or facemask... Kills the argument for section (1) immediately.

I hate the rule and think it is bullshit. But, Hardy DID ram Oalner violently in the back. Check out the picture. Palmer is almost folded backwards.

The rule is bullshit. But Hardy did break the rune.

I'm re-watching the Raiders game, and just noticed #90 on the play in which Cam and Tommy Kelly got into it. Bryant, #90, is the guy who actually got the sack on the play. So what did he do for a celebration? He got up, mimicked ripping a heart out of the opponents chest, held the imaginary heart in his hand for a few seconds and opened and closed his fist a few times to simulate that it was still beating, and then threw the heart to the ground.

Is this really legal? How is this different than doing a throat slash or other violent portrayal?

No it is not legal. And that us really what the flag was for...the celebration.

The got the number wrong.

I now see the point many are making about these excessive celebrating that takes place with every personal accomplishments on the field. It is getting a bit out of hand. What's next, a group of players , will start river dancing at the sacking of a QB.

All teams need to save their clebrating for the TDs. That's more than enough celebrating, IMO,

As long as they don't take too long celebrating, I don't see the harm.

      Not a Moore fan-but he had a few good games last year-but I want players that scare you--Renfrow's route running and intelligence, Legette's size, speed, and strength, AT's intelligence and route running, Coker's body control, strong hands, and abilty to win contested catches, and TMac's size, body control, and ability to find soft spots in zone coverages.  Horn gives them the ability to stretch the field and he plays special teams.   Moore has a nice smile and can dance.  He filled in well last season, but to get better as a team, you have to upgrade your players.  I think Moore is a bottom of the roster guy who got bumped when we drafted 2 WRs and signed a legit free agent.  Here is the thing--TMac makes us better because he is great against the zone--man?  Good luck with that.  AT's role can be reduced, and that is probably a good thing.  He can specialize in situational football. Coker?  Just getting started. XL?  Just getting started.  Drafting TMac was probably a bit of a wake up call, but XL will be better as the 2. Renfrow?  I see him splitting reps with AT--keeping both fresh and giving different looks. Horn?  Watch the safety cheat his side when he is in the game--I see a young Steve Smith type in him, but he has yet to play a game.  I hear that Morgan loves him.
