How much long are we going to delay finding our #1 WR

What I really hated was the fact that Gettis was injured for pretty much the whole season. I feel if he were healthy, he would have been a great number two, and LaFell would have been at home as the number 3. As of now, I don't know what to think about Gettis, Rivera refused to play the man. If he's still on the roster next year, perhaps he can still develop into to good number two.

Id like to really believe that Gettis couldve help this season, but Im not gonna put a lot of hope into it. He had a very good rookie season, but I dont think he's the next Colston or something.

Da'rick Rogers is really talented but has off field issues. If JR isn't afraid to take a chance and is willing to gamble on Rogers, it'd be something fun to watch. I seen comparison to Julio as well but as I look closer, I think he can be a Dez type of player for us.

Hopefully the new GM will be given carte blanche and the off field aversion issue will die off like the Burgermeister Meisterburger's.

This organization has GOT to change it's old fashion ways.

Bowe and Wallace might be free agents and Greg Jennings will for sure be one soo maybe we can get lucky and get one of them with are new GM

Please wake up and quit dreaming.

Its not going to happen. No big name FA this year.

If we could land a Patrick Chung this offseason, he's the biggest name well get.

Chuck, do you want Da'rick Rogers?

I want Da'rick Rogers.

Explain to me why any of you would not want Da'rick Rogers.

Many have said that BigCat would not go for this guy, Marty would have not gone for this guy.

I bet you balls against marbles that Ross would go for this guy.

Change is a comin' baby, change is a comin'.

Gimme Ross and watch the Huddle turn upsidedown.

if i could get some new fresh air in here that can convince me that JR is changing, I'd be mocking Rogers to us 24/7, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. I really hope Big Cat changes his way around here. The talents is there with Rogers.

You guys are way too hard on JR. He really doesn't care more than most owners if a guy got caught with weed or maybe got a DUI.

Unless of course they have a tattoo or piercings. That crap don't fly with JR.

McNabb in his prime was never the offense threat Newton is....even a green Newton.

The OL we finished the year with will get Cam hurt.

The G play we saw out the beginning will keep Cam inconsistent

Someone would be crazy to even suggest Mcnabb is comparable to Cam. Nobody playing right now is comparable to Newton. Heck, I wouldn't take either of the so-called top 2 QBs over him. But I do see Rivera riding him to keep his job year after year and never build an offense like the so-called top 2 QBs have.

That's why I think Pete Carrol is a great coach. Because he build a stout OL, good WR core and everything the QB(Russell Wilson) does for to the team is just extra. That's why his team is viewed as a superbowl contender instead of the happy to be in the playoff redskins. The redskins on the on there hand are riding their QB(RG3) to the playoff thus the coaching staff holding on to their jobs. The redskins have no business being in the playoff. But the redskins are years(or if ever) from being superbowl contender.

I fear the same is happening with Cam, they will keeping picking the Lafells in the 5th round and never address the WR position in the early round.

Carolina rode their QB much more than the Skins rode RGIII this year. I actually think Alfred Morris should be 2nd at OROY behind Wilson.

    • Yeah and I am doubtful he can offer that consistently. I don’t have many years left at my age and in my view we have wasted two and this whole exercise with him was always a three year minimum.  I am out on that with a guy I don’t believe in, and never believed in, it has sucked. To me it is a costly detour off the right track. Years.    But I am not so rigid that I can’t see excellence. He needs to display it though, consistently before I change my outlook.
    • No, when I said rage, I meant rage, which only applies to certain fans on this board. Your timeline of trying to assess whether he is the future or not is really tied to the discussions surrounding his second contract. If this team is going to commit to some monster contract while he has shown nothing but glimpses of brilliance would be deservedly worrisome, so the clock is genuinely ticking for him to settle into something resembling his final form. Perhaps a best case scenario is that he plays well, the team succeeds, but he does so with a more limited role that makes the rest of the league view him as a game manager, and his second contract value reflects that. Then he continues to improve and becomes a bargain comparatively while not handicapping the team around him, and we enter an era of consistent championship competitiveness that the fanbase has craved for decades and has never really experienced before. But that requires many, many things to go right and for Bryce himself to facilitate that if he ends up being the quarterback of the future.
    • Exactly. And the flame throwers as well, get location benefits from not going all out. But they have it in reserve.  Not sure how much Greg had but he was an artist.  There was a YouTube I came across last year or maybe even 2023 and I don’t how to even find now but it had two NFL QBs I want say one was Carr from the Raiders but I don’t really remember  The point of it is they stood side by side throwing identical distances to identical targets. Radar gun was used.  They threw the normal effort (not all out) and it was measured etc. Then they were asked to throw their ‘fastball’. They were missing and most often they were missing high. It demonstrated the same principle.    edit: and applying that to arm strength, give me the guy that doesn’t need max effort to have good velocity. The margins are so narrow with less velocity in tne NFL the defenders can Close on it and this is a league where they value down to the 100th of a second level. It is that tight
