Brady has not won a superbowl since people started calling him the GOAT. When they were winning the first two you might as well had called him a game manager. Belichek was still a great coach, though, IOT beat the teams they did when they did.

The answer to the OP's question, however is that simply put Football is the ultimate team game. The coach is not out there on the field and the QB can't play all positions.

And they also coached a game where defense and the run game ruled and the rules to pass the ball weren't in yet. You needed a game manager no Brady to win it all

Some of those rule changes were in. The rule against hitting a receiver beyond 5 yards was put in during the late 70's and was probably the most important of the changes that have occurred irt the passing game.
