I think USA has a good shot at the gold in the 2014 Olympics. A lot of great american players currently in the NHL. Can't wait. Hope we kick Canada's ass. fug you Crosby.

One guy you are missing is JVR, he is an absolute stud.

Yea if you want to make a list about what it will look like in the future, I see him and Derek Stepan and T.J. Oshie all with a strong possibility of making the list. And the list is only mine, so it's not "the" list so to speak.

USA will put up a good fight in the olympics, solid offensively and as long as Quick keeps it up he will be the biggest strength for USA (something even Canada can't figure out at this point). I think defensively and lack of depth/skill in the front end is where USA could/will be hurting. If the olympics were on North American soil it would be a different story but because of the bigger ice the European teams have the advantage, which is why I also fear for the Canadians defensively.

At this point the USA will/should be in contention come the medal round and very well could get to the gold again (would love to see another N.A. final), but in all honesty if Canada does not win gold it would be shocking to me, it very well could be one the best teams Canada has ever assembled due to a lot of the great players being in the middle of their prime and great depth all over the place. But, if the goaltending situation is not figured out it could be very costly.
