Now that Phil has his 10th NBA championship, some are calling him the best coach in the league and the greatest NBA coach of all time. Ive seen others praise Coach Brown who's won on all levels as the best NBA coach of all time. Who would you rather have as your guy?

Don't know how you could really make a case for Brown. Just the fact alone that you can't trust him to finish what he starts. Already blown through 9 organizations in his career.

Stats?

Brown .552 winning percentage regular season all time. .529 in the playoffs.

Jackson .705 winning percentage regular season. .697 in the playoffs.

1 NBA title vs 10.

Brown's a helluva coach, just flakey.

You guys make good points. Phil Jackson has also had the fortune of coaching 2 franchises, both of which were playoff teams prior to his arrival and are loaded with a plethora of HOFers. Coach Brown has coached 9 franchises (an NBA record), and has transformed the culture in all of them excluding his NY stint. Here's a coach who will truly build a team from the ground up and take them into the dance. This guy took the Clippers to the playoffs!!! THE CLIPPERS!!! Can we get some head to head stats?

    • The defense is 28 out of 32 in salary cap allocation for 2025. We have a ton of resources tied up in the offense including the highest paid OL in the league multiple 1st round WR's and multiple recent draft picks across the offense at TE and RB and we have two 1000 yard backs. Bryce and company couldn't get past Tyler Shough and his crew in 2 games. That's all there is to it. You can spin it and put the entire onus on the defense to your heart's desire it doesn't change the fact that this is an OFFENSIVE team now. If you want to argue that we should revert back to a defensive identity as we have been in the past which has brought us success then I will agree with you on that. But as it stands the onus is on the offense because that is where we have invested through the nose. Dave Canales and Bryce Young need to do a hell of a lot better than they have against the rebuilding Saints who without us should only have 2 wins this season.
    • Bryce is not trending up. He is the same QB he has always been. Bottom of the league in most categories.  If Canales thinks he can build a contender with Bryce then he is a bigger idiot then I thought.  Offense next year will have the same issues and be just as inconsistent as it was this year.  We have seen Bryce’a ceiling and it is 175 yards a game and that is not a QB you keep around as your starter. That is barely a backup.
    • Looks like Darnold should have had at least 3 picks. That'll get ugly in the playoffs eventually. Can't deny his physical talent though. You either have that or you don't. Mike Macdonald is a legit coach.
